Game fans may be disappointed to see the delay for Bandai Namco’s latest One Piece video game but the good news is you can still be excited for the release of One Piece Odyssey. If you missed the official announcement, the game One Piece Odyssey was first announced on March 28 2022 by developer ILCA and publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment.
The game is set in the story of a Straw Hat who is stranded on a mysterious island called Waford and is forced to explore in an attempt to understand what really happened. So here’s everything I know so far about the upcoming JRPG.

Hooray! The release schedule for the One Piece Odyssey game has been set for January 10, 2023 for PC devices and January 12, 2023 for Console players. Why are the dates separate, you may ask right? Honestly, I’m not sure why, but I’m glad we got a release date after so many delays, finally.

Where Can You Play One Piece Odyssey Game?
One Piece Odyssey will be released for PC via Steam, PS5, PS4, and Xbox Series X but not for Xbox One.
How is the Gameplay of One Piece Odyssey?
This game is a mixture of puzzles and battles. There are various skills and characters that can be leveled up to become more powerful, just like how it works in a traditional JRPG game.
However, Bandai Namco has brought changes, namely “Drama Scene system“where anything can happen, and you can meet unexpected scenarios. For example, Usopp may be attacked by enemies and may need rescuing.
Is One Piece Odyssey Multiplayer?
Unfortunately no guys, this game doesn’t have a multiplayer mode. It is clear from the information released by Bandai Namco that this game can only be played by one person.
Characters in Game One Piece Odyssey
This game features the majority of the cast from the Straw Hat Pirates as playable characters. The list includes: Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Robin, Chopper, Franky, and Brook.
It’s important to note that the characters are not entirely based on current times in the manga and anime, as the game itself is set long before the events of the same time as the anime. Each of these characters has their own special abilities in battle and outside of battle.
For example, Zoro can cut down barriers whereas Luffy can actually catapult. The game also features two new characters, the humans Adio and Lim. Information about Rare Adio. However, it was known that Lim would have a major role on the island.
